AVKO Proceeds:
What are they used for?

AVKO is a non-profit, recognized by the IRS as a 501(C)3 organization.  AVKO charges small fees for its materials in order to pay for overhead costs such as utilities, payroll, printing, binding, website hosting, etc.  The proceeds go toward not only our expenses, but also help keep the prices low to make them affordable for schools and homeschoolers alike.  They also help develop new resources to maintain AVKO's status as a treasured resource for everyone who wants to combat the problems of illiteracy, rise to the challenge and blessing of teaching and homeschooling, or learn more about dyslexia.

What are they NOT used for?

AVKO tries to spend minimal funds on advertising.  In fact, the best advertising that AVKO has is in the form of word-of-mouth advertising from those who have tried our materials, found them to be successful and a blessing, and wanted to share them with others.

AVKO also spends minimal funds on aesthetics, superficial renovations, and unnecessary bells and whistles for not only the foundation itself, but the materials it produces.
