Word Games
Word games are great for
practicing spelling and reading skills without
all of the frustration or pressure of homework,
busy work, or tests. Here are some
resources for great word games for your
students. AVKO has launched a
series of Engaging Language Kits
(1-7) that correspond to each of the levels of
Sequential Spelling.
These kits have pages and pages of word games using the
words and word families of
Sequential Spelling.
They also contain creative writing prompts, dictation
exercises, proverbs, critical / abstract thinking, and
idioms.
