Purchasing Policies

To place an order you may:

  • Place the order online directly from our Materials Catalog or our Quick Order Form.
  • Call the AVKO Foundation Toll Free at 1-866-AVKO-612  (1-866-285-6612)
  • eMail the AVKO Foundation
  • Fax the AVKO Foundation @ 810-686-1101
  • Use the order blank (PDF) and mail your order with a check

Online shopping cart pricing information:

  • To track orders that were placed online, use the tracking feature of the Shopping Cart.  We update the tracking information at the end of each business day.

  • When you place an order online, your total may not be exactly correct.  However, your credit card will not be processed for the incorrect amount as each and every online order is processed manually by one of AVKO's staff members. 

  • When you order a Membership online, the shopping cart will show a charge for an additional amount for shipping that will, of course, not apply.  Your member's discount of 25% will also not automatically show online due to the shopping cart's capabilities.  However, once you have received your membership login information, you will be able to order using the discounted prices on the Member's Only Quick Order Form.

  • If you are having an order shipped internationally, the price will show as $15.00.  However, you will be charged the actual shipping costs of the United States Postal Service or UPS.

  • Distributors are also charged actual shipping costs.

If your method of payment is Visa, MasterCard, or Discover Credit Card:

  • You may order directly from our Materials Catalog or our Quick Order Form.  Please
    remember that we check all the pricing and enter the correct amounts by hand.  Don't worry
    about what the "shopping cart" might say or not say as the case may be.
  • As soon as the credit card is approved, your order will go out with an invoice from us paid in full.
  • Your order will be processed, in most cases, within 1 business day of our receipt of it.
  • We strongly recommend that you leave a phone number or e-mail address in case of difficulty.

If your method of payment is check, money order, or Cashier's Cheque:

  • As soon as the order is placed, the order will go out with an invoice that you must send back to us with payment.  We ask that you return one of the invoices enclosed in order to expedite the order processing.
  • If your check may bounce, please wait until you know that you have sufficient funds.  Bounced checks cost  you money as well as AVKO.

We ship:

  • We try to ship most of our orders UPS.  If your order must be shipped to a P.O. box, is an APO, or is a country other than the USA, we will send your order via US Priority Mail.   Please note:  You may order any book as an e-book which will come as a PDF attachment to your e-mail.  Shipment costs of non-UPS orders will be calculated separately.
  • Due to a change in UPS's policy on shipping surcharges, we are now shipping many of our packages via USPS.  If your zip code is listed in their "remote delivery list", your package will be shipped USPS Priority Mail.

Our shipping and handling costs:

  • Shipping is 10% of the total of products ordered, before discounts, with a minimum of $5.00.  For orders $200.00 or more, we pay the shipping. This is subject to change without notification.
  • For retailer, distributor, and international shipments, we charge the actual shipping costs of USPS or UPS.
  • We do not charge shipping and handling costs for any of our free materials (video, catalogs, dyslexia information, etc.); however, we would appreciate a donation to cover the costs of the foundation for these materials and their postage.  All of our materials may also be downloaded from the website to avoid delay on your part and costs incurred on ours.

Our Return Policy:

  • You may return (or exchange) your AVKO products within 30 days of your purchase date, provided they are in saleable condition.  The re-stocking fee is the amount charged for shipping and handling.
  • If you placed your order by credit card, your credit card will be issued a credit upon our receipt of the merchandise (minus the shipping and handling costs) unless instructed otherwise.  We will issue checks if preferred.
